Shabbat Across Abramson

Scores of households across the nation extended Shabbat hospitality to friends and family on April 1, 2005. In each home Shabbat was celebrated with a dinner that included recipes submitted for the cookbook. Guests and hostesses prepared recipes and rated them. What a lovely way for hundreds of people throughout the United States to participate in this exciting cookbook project that will provide financial support for the good work of the Auxiliary of the Center.

Kugel Cook-Off

Timeless received scores of kugel recipes so to be fair they held a Kugel Cook-Off - September 20, 2005! Residents, families and Auxiliary members gathered in Town Square at the Abramson Center to sample and offer their opinions of the close to four dozen varieties of kugels. It was especially fun for 6ABC tv’s Don Polec who attended the Kugel-Cookoff and filmed a segment that aired on September 30, 2005. From the sweet to the savory to the creative and the bizarre – whether you say 'kugel' or 'kigel' - the event was great for all who attended. There were some outstanding recipes and the recipe editors have a tough job ahead to choose the right ones for Timeless!

Cook Together - Groups of friends are enjoying a chance to get together in the kitchen.

A Cook Together provides an opportunity for friends to gather in a home kitchen and test several recipes for the cookbook. The events are a lot of fun!! Participants share the shopping list and grocery expenses, as well as an afternoon or evening of chatting, chopping and tasting!
Cooks have been enjoying the chance to learn from one another and to offer an opinion on submitted recipes.

Book Launching Announcement!
November 8, 2006
At last, our book is ready!
Timeless will be presented to the public for the first time on November 8 at the Commerce Bank Headquarters in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
Sponsors, Abramson Center board members, Abramson Center Auxiliary board members and committee members will attend a reception hosted by the bank. The books will be released the next day.

The Resident's Committee at the Center added selected recipes from TIMELESS to the food services menu

These tasty dishes,
including Savory Apricot Chicken, Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Barbeque
Brisket and The Very Best Apple Cake will now be included in the
residents' menu and called 'Bubbe's Classics.' A tasting was held in
Town Square for residents and their families and all the food received
rave revues.
